With the participation of many people from the wood industry, engineers, but also students of the Department, the Conference on "DEVELOPMENT POLICY - INDUSTRY FORUM - CONCLUSIONS AND ACTIONS - NEW INDUSTRIAL POLICY" under the auspices of the General Secretariat of Industry of the Ministry of Economy and Development.

Also present were the President of the Panhellenic Association of Wooden Frame Manufacturers, Mr. Makis Davidopoulos, the President of the Karditsa Chamber, Mr. Byron Pappas, while the Syriza Member of Parliament, Ms. Panagiota Vrantza, also greeted the Conference with her letter.

The day was started by the Professor of the Department Dr. George Ntalos who organized the Conference and welcomed the guest speakers and the audience. Afterwards, the President of the Department, Associate Professor Mr. Karageorgos Antonios, addressed a greeting, who made a brief review of the Department's contribution to the industry.

The speeches were started by Department Professor Ioannis Papadopoulos on "Business Development Strategies with Win-Win Synergies and Networking". During his speech, he presented very interesting facts from the wood furniture industry during the crisis while he analyzed in detail the possibilities for win-win partnerships and the dynamics of Clusters.

Then spoke mr. Efstratios Zafeiris - General Secretary of Industry on the topic "Industry Forum - The Industrial Policy in the period 2016-2020 and the Implementation Actions" where he explained the state's vision for the future of industry in our country. Of course, he also took the time to talk about his very positive impressions of the Department's contribution to the industries in the sector.

This was followed by Mr. Nikos Tsimas – Special Adviser to the Deputy Minister of Economy & Development on the subject of "ESPA Programs of the General Secretariat of Industry" where he presented in detail the 6 programs that will be managed by the Secretary General of Industry.

The next speaker was Mr. Mr. Petros Stavropoulos – Special Advisor of the General Secretariat of Industry who presented another alternative for helping new businesses in the speech on "The Importance of STARTUPS in the Implementation of the New Industrial Policy"

On the part of the Ministry, the talks with Mr. Giorgos Frysalakis – Head of the Directorate of Business Innovation & New Technologies ended with the development of the topic "The Role of Innovation in the Implementation of the New Industrial Policy"

This was followed by the speech of Mr. Antonis Karagiannis – D. XL Furniture Antonis company consultant on the subject

"The activity and sustainability of a business during the crisis" where in a very clear way he analyzed the progress of the industries in the sector during the years of the crisis and the serious problems it faced and is still facing.

This was followed by questions and positions from the audience to the speakers who showed great interest both in the progress and problems presented by the old programs and in details of the implementation of the new programs that will be announced

Despite the very interesting speeches, the show was stolen by Ms. Dora Aleviri, Special Advisor to the Secretary General of Industry, with her insight and the valuable knowledge she shared with her interlocutors.

This was followed by a tour of the Secretary of Industry and his colleagues in the department's facilities where the modern equipment of the Department was presented by Professors Antonios Karageorgos and Ioannis Ntintakis. The impressions made by the guests were excellent and they pledged to help the Department in all their endeavors.
