At the ALFAWOOD company, the students and professors were welcomed and given a tour of the factory premises by Mr. Agorastos (co-owner of the company), Ms. Ioanna Dimaki, Marketing Director, as well as the executive I. Delfos (who is also a student of MSc). Both the production process and the organization and operation of the company were analyzed.
At the company XLF Karagiannis – Kermeliotis SA, the President of the company, Mr. Antonis Karagiannis, took over the tour of the factory premises and informed the students in detail about the operation of his company, the production of its products, as well as the new Projects it has undertake to implement on behalf of IKEA and COCOMAT companies.
The educational visit took place within the framework of the courses of the MSc: "Innovative wood products and materials", "Management of Production and Operations", "Applications of Intelligent Systems in Business and Industry" and "Marketing of new products" with the corresponding accompanying professors: Georgios Ntalos , Glykeria Karagkouni, Antonios Karageorgos and Ioannis Papadopoulos and the students had a very important experiential experience.
The possibilities of developing partnerships between companies, graduates and professors of the Master's Program in various projects were also discussed.
The lecturers and students of the MSc especially thank the above companies for accepting the reception invitation and detailed information.
After the successful educational visit, something similar is planned for May 2016 abroad, specifically in Spain (Barcelona & Valencia).
