The Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences & Design of the School of Technology of the University of Thessaly announces the start of the application process for the admission of graduate students, for the academic year 2024-2025, to the Graduate Studies Program (MSc) entitled \"Advanced Design, Technology & Management of Wooden Products<\/strong>\u00bb with three (3) specializations: a)\u00a0Product Design<\/strong>, b)\u00a0Technology and Construction<\/strong>\u00a0and c)\u00a0Management & Marketing<\/strong>.<\/p>

The program is aimed at graduates of: the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences and Design, the Departments of Wood and Furniture Design and Technology, Forestry and Natural Resources Management, Forestry and Natural Environment, Forestry and Environmental Management and Natural Resources, graduates of Polytechnic Schools, graduates of Positive Sciences, Economics, Administration, Marketing, graduates of other Universities, whose relevance to the subject of the above-mentioned MSc is judged on a case-by-case basis by a competent committee for the selection of postgraduate students, as well as graduates of foreign Universities, in a related specialty, after presenting the parity of their title from the competent body.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

2 scholarships in each semester<\/h1> \n

It is noted that two (2) excellence scholarships are awarded each semester (1st & 2nd) to students who obtain the highest marks in their respective courses .     Evaluation of candidates<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    The evaluation of the candidates will be based on the overall rating (on a scale of 1 \u2013 100) with the following criteria (the weighting factor of each criterion is shown in parentheses): a) the general grade of the degree\/diploma with a minimum score of \"Very Good\" (30%), b) the level of knowledge of the foreign language (10%), c) publications in scientific journals, announcements at scientific conferences (5%), d) possession of other Master's Degrees (5%), e) relevant professional experience (10%), f) letters of recommendation (10%) and g) the interview (30%). \n\nCandidates with the highest overall grade are admitted to the Postgraduate Program. Exceptionally and only in the event that the required number of admitted students (up to 30) has not been completed, candidates with a general degree grade of \"Good\" may be accepted, according to a documented recommendation of the PMS Coordination Committee and a decision of the Department Assembly.\n\nThe Selection Committee will invite to an interview - oral examination those of the candidates who meet the formal and substantive requirements.<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
